Here is IS4337 at the Eastoes Moorabbin yard in 1976. During the 70s I lived in the area and from time to time took the occasional shot. Memory tells me by about late 1975 all 4 Petes were based in Melbourne on more or less local work. They were all spider rimmed trucks. IS4337 was certainly the best presented of the 2 single drivers as you remembered and the other one was looking a bit down as you stated…. But it was sound.
There were all sold off in May 1979 as advertised in the Melbourne Age newspaper motor market section. Once in private hands most deteriorated fairly quickly... A shame.

Has anyone got any way of blowing the number plate up on that single drive Pete of Eastoe's on the flyer?
I'm wondering if it is "IS 4337" ??
If it is, that truck had quite a bit of money spent on it when it was sent to their ( 'Eastoe's') Sydney depot, I was lucky enough to have driven quite a few miles in her, if it is indeed the same one. Always had a soft spot for her, an immaculate bit of gear for it's age.

Thanks for the heads up, the particular one I was interested in was IS4337.
I was unaware that they had seven of them delivered, my particular recollection of them was they only had the 4 left by the time I had anything to do with them. They had the two single drives in Sydney as local trucks (IS 4337, which had quite a bit of money spent on it and was in extremely good nick), the other had local NSW black and yellow "F" plates on it, but at the time was well worn and looking a bit worse for wear.
Cheers, Dave_64
