Is anyone else going to this event? I have never taken the Inter there before due to the heat causing problems for the occupants but this year is currently meant too be low - mid 20's (or good truck driving weather).

I am not planning to be there too early as I am going out Saturday Night.

Whittlesea Truck and Ute Show is on this weekend as well but it is part of the Country Music Festival (They don't even 'play both types of music') which is a major turn-off for us.

Besides Hanging Rock is further away and the whole point of the day is to give the Inter a run

43 degrees in the shade on Saturday Deadly, make sure you and the 34 both keep the cooling fluids up.

I am planning to wash the Inter Saturday morning and am hoping it stays around 25 on Sunday. The cab of the Inter gets way to hot at 40. (Truck doesn't miss a beat driver and passenger expire 1st !)

Ok a report, AtkiPete, MrsP and myself made the journey after much consideration and checking of websites to check whether the event was still on and the proximity of fires. As Whittlesea was in a worse state than Hanging Rock (and eventually cancelled as the showgrounds were turned into a fire command post) we headed to Hanging Rock

Numbers were down probably due to bush fires (although none nearby) and thunderstorms in Melbourne. The truck display was 1/3 its normal size and general vehicle numbers were down as well. There were not many pre-war vehicles there at all

Anyway here are some of the trucks - there was even a 2nd red AR160 series International There!
