Should motorists pay tax for kilometers driven?

I think we pay enough tax now on fuel

The more kilometers we travel, the more fuel we use

So the more tax we have to pay

A system that replaces existing taxes/charges would be fine. Why should I have to pay the same rego/insurance for a car I use for about 50 kms/week compared with someone who drives 500 km/week.

Many Many Moons ago they sed all fuel exize tax twaz 2 B used for roads etc
twaz a huge amount of money ovr the years
so the Govt grab it for other things

they'd like to tax the big transport Co wiff 100'z of trailers n make the trailers coff up sum $$$

better to bung a cent on every liter of fuel across the board ....... th@ way kilometers travelled would cop it
as some trucks are small distance travellers

How about making the guys who receive all the taxes from us a bit more accountable for where it,s all going.Supporting polies trips overseas ,dinner junkets & shear waste would be a good start. > > >.They all want us to be more efficient with our lives
