Finally, I'm back to work on Tuesday. Starting at Rio's North Parkes mine. Not super ideal given we live in West Wyalong but I'm happy to be bringing some money through the door again.

Many thanks, Pete. Back to being a steering-wheel attendant. Hope the trucks sound as good as I remember.

congratulations Andy, just in time for Christmas :)

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Thanks Bruce. It is good timing. The roster means I get the Xmas break as well.

Close enough to 12 months, Dave - mid-February. Out of interest, I sent lots of applications to advertised jobs by well-established companies and less than a third would have replied saying "thanks for your application".

Cheers, Sarge, I'll see how I go with pics. Will wait till they let me loose once I've got through the training. Looking forward to Rio training as it's quite extensive and, despite my experience driving these things, I know I'll learn something new. Driving 777s which I spent some time on in WA but most of our fleet was 785s so driving the little trucks didn't happen too often. Will be good to learn them back to front - and they should be later models than what I've driven before so that'll be cool too.
