Since moving house I have noticed how blinkered they are in Port Pirie . . .

. . . the majority of drivers here indicate profusely,. They indicate when they are about to turn into a roundabout, and indicate as they go around it depending on whether they are continuing around. or leaving it. It is a pleasure when it works like that, but unfortunately you occasionally come up against a wot-blinkas-mate? type and you are obligated to wait to discover where they are actually going!?

I think a lot of them probably do flick the indicator switch and think they have indicated to the world that they have right-of-way (because they are the only important person in the world and their journey is a million times more urgent than yours) and will change lanes. They do not allow for the time it takes for the electrickery to travel from the switch down the wires to all the pretty coloured lights and then for the lights to wake up and smile at you. They also do not allow for the time it takes you to:-
A. see their light,
B. realise what they want to do.
C. think SH-one-T, they will never fit in there,
D. hit the brakes or check your mirrors and swing out of their way.

It is all your fault!
