Lang's trip to India was created by Lang
We leave tomorrow for another Indian driving trip. Going from Chennai (Madras) to Goa, then down to the southern tip and back to Chennai. Just Bev and me in a little Suzuki buzzbox.
I will try to get photos of Indian trucks, traffic or anything that might interest the boys.
I will not be able to keep up with the daily Critical Assessments for Dima maybe someone else might like to take on that mission while I am away.
For some reason ELGi, one of the world's biggest compressor companies, contacted us and we now have a sponsor which is great. Of course this means Bev and I must sing for our supper by doing talks and going to dinners and factory tours etc but should be fun. The company runs several schools taking street kids through from nothing to a good career.
If anyone is interested we will be doing a regular blog, hopefully every second day at least. It can be found on our web site www.next-horizon.org on the front page under Indian Trip 2022. You will understand that we must push the ELGi barrow in the blog but we will try to keep it broadly interesting.
The map shows our trip with the red line. The other lines are past driving trips.
Bev is taking her mother's recipe plum pudding as usual (we have had Xmas dinner in some weird spots over the years) and we will think of all of the team while eating our Xmas curry. All the best for 2023.

Lang you and Bev certainly have a sense of adventure, l reckon if you were around in the 1700 you would have beaten Capt Cook out here.
Don't eat to much Indian curry.

Lang, how I envy you. I can't get my bride to leave the yard, let alone go overseas.
You both have a great and safe trip and I hope Santa can still find you. Look forward to your blogs and posts when you are back.
Stay safe.
Steve.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

We will try to keep it interesting Because we have Indian sponsors some of the more humourous cross-cultural happenings may have to be reported with some circumspect. Having said that they are not devoid of humour and Indians have related hilarious stories to us about bureaucracy, social status and of course Indian motoring. We will do our best.

We cannot wait for the stories to feed back here. Keep a river nearby to sit in to cool off the ring gear from too much curry.
Stay safe the both of you, have a great time on your travels and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
