Probably built up in modular style but even so the machines to make it must be an absolute monsters.

Never fails to amaze me that they can make such a huge engine, especially a two stroke configuration, and have them ticking over so sweetly at such low rpm.
Balancing and tolerances must be incredible!

I think she is talking about an engine or something, I didn't look.

The Marco Polo shown is the identical sister ship to the Louis Bleriot on which our Bean car is now travelling past North Africa. 200,000tons and 23 knots!

I once saw a video where they were honing the cylinders with angle grinders.

Apparently with the bore of these things you really couldn't do much damage.

Yes, assembled using many shrink fitment. Can you imagine the size of the chuck key, for the lathe?
