From the rear view, I can't tell the chassis under 388, an ambulance with a pun numberplate (my photo).

I would guess from the ride height that car 388 is based on a Holden 1 tonner chassis

1965 Studebaker Cruiser ambulance. Operated by the Wynnum branch of the Queensland Ambulance Transport Brigade. The chassis was extended about 13 inches and a fibreglass ambulance body fitted by Superior Industries in Brisbane. After they had finished with it, this car was sold to a South Australian Studebaker fan in 1973 who used it for about 15 years, before selling it to my father. Dad sold it back to the Queensland Ambulance Service in the 1990's for their museum. It is now restored and on display. Coincidentally the museum is housed in the old Wynnum ambulance station where the car originally served.

1956 Holden FJ ambulance. Operated by the Temora District of the New South Wales Ambulance Transport Service Board. Modified from a panel van by W. S. Grice Motor Body Works in the Sydney suburb of Summer Hill. When commissioned it was one of three ambulances in operation in Temora, the other two being International Harvester trucks, also converted by Grice's. One of the Internationals, a 1953 AR 110 was later converted for use as a Rescue Unit, and can be seen in this photo. It is in original (unrestored) condition. Both of these cars are on display at the Temora Rural muesum.
The other International, a 1951 model, is reported to be under restoration by the local vintage car club.

1963 Holden EJ ambulance. Operated by Scottsdale Hospital in Tasmania. The ambulance was converted from a panel van. Colour is a light grey called Coolibah Grey, beacuse apparently white was available in EJ commercials.
