Are any of the R/C modellers on this forum interested in coming along to the HCVC Display Day at Sandown on November 28th and showing their wares. I'm sure people would be interested. If you are, drop me a PM.

Hi Dave, you will find quite a few model trucks on E-Bay or even at hobby shops, Hearnes Hobbies, Victorian Hobby Centre are just a couple I can think of. Check the price at a hobby shop, before getting into a bidding war on flea-bay and paying far too much.

There are two main varieties/scale available now, 1:25 scale is mostly American stuff and 1:24 is mostly European with a spattering of yankee thrown in for good measure.

Now British stuff is starting to become like rocking horse turds, it's mostly the after-market resin products. By that I mean you need a donor kit for the rolling chassis and then the resin cab is attached to the donor chassis.

This place in England is about all there is, if you can't see what you want here, then you just got to scratch-build it, see this link for what's available from Kit Form Services, scroll down till you come to the trucks.

G'Day all. I'm back on the "air" again "so to speak". Well its been a rough year or so personally, but keen to continue the story. Have been watching on and off from side-lines and Choc's recent story has re-kindled my flame, so here we go.

Not a huge amount of progress but trying to get cab painted and get interior done soon. I'll get more photos up soon.

Stew.

Stew, well done so far mate, all looking good. I guess the hardest part in modelling is to not rush things in wanting to see what it all looks like. I've got a Bonneted Louiesville kit to build but have'nt started it yet. Was going to do it over winter when I don't feel so guilty about being inside, maybe next winter.Keep up the good work mate & also the pictures. Cheers Tim ;)

Greenie, can you give me a bit of an idea on what brands of glue are good for truck models. Also are pressure pack cans of paint ok or would cans & brushes be ok. I'm unsure about air brushes. Thanks in advance. Cheers Tim ;)
