well maybe I've been neglecting it a bit? I thought 40k wasn't too bad but it's been more than a year for sure... I use Castrol TFC450 (castrol's recommendation for this box - also goes in cat powersifts and the old 14sp volvo trans and they love it).
I'm not a big fan of the current linkage - it feels very spongy but doesn't have obvious play. Cable would be better I reckon. It started life as a single and works pretty hard now so no surprise it's not happy maybe... Don't want to lose any gears as it needs every one in the hills round here - a 6 or allison wouldn't do that well I reckon - it's very gutless for its size (28.5' tray)
