There's a constant stream of Ex-Military stuff being Auctioned off by Pickles..

Most of the Trailers being sold off are Haulmark..

I seem to remember Drake were pretty big suppliers to the military but other blokes who can recognise trailers from a distance might have another suggestion.

I never realized how many different half tracks were built with Bren gun carrier undercarriage

I think GMH did a Chevrolet Blitz as well. They never came to anything. There is a fellow from SA who built a blitz half track replica. It really got along very fast.

Here is stuff being tested at Monogeeta near Albury and in UK. Those pommy trucks would be down to 20mph with the tracks even without a field gun behind them. The American International and White half-tracks had no trouble sitting on 40-45mph all day long. They also had rubber tracks. I believe all the experiments with Bren Gun Carrier steel tracks in Australia were quickly ended when the trucks regularly swapped ends on gentle corners on bitumen roads.

I once lived near Enogger barracks, and recall the day when a dozen of these APCs conveyed out to play. The noise was something to behold and be quite terrifying if they would be rolling into an occupied village. I thought they were big until the trucks with tanks started coming by. The procession of everything that supported the trailing rolled past also, must have gone on for 10 minutes.
