How do those figures compare to the Oldgirl ?
Saving in fuel probably nearly makes up the monthly payments on the newgirl ??

We get around 1.8 out of our ISX Cummins so that's pretty good going.
That new trailer sure is purty.

Hi Ruffo
Maybe you should use a wash'n'wax on those tanks of yours, help it cut through the air and make it go faster.
(This is the sister truck to Ruffo's truck.... his is much cleaner )
Cheers Damian.

So with GCM's of 140+tons, do you run a heavier turntable or some extra large pin?
Must get a lot more wear than a "normal" rig.

geez, ole dog, this story is becomming a real saga, but mate, i really felt sad when you let the ole girl go but i spose life goes on, didnt realise the newer macks got such good fuel economy, where i am you dont see many macks on interstate but was in newcastle this week and was suprised to see so many doing semi local, so i guess you did your homework well. Good luck mate, keep on truckin, the new rig looks bloody nice. JK.

Jeffo 3inch kingpins are fairly popular, but not mandatory,in WA.
The Shell roadtrains in the Territory used to run 3in as well.Don't know if they still do,since Scotty took them over.
Most everyone else sticks with 2inch to be interchangeable with other fleet.
A 2in pin will wear faster than a 3in,especially on the lead trailer.(A lot of r/ts
run in the same order all the time)
We run 70tonne Holland and Jost turntables on everything, primemovers and dollies.
The Ringfeder on the lead also takes a pasteing.
My r/t usually gets about 300,000km from the 2in pin on the lead.
Jaws, bushes, pins and dogsbones are original at 730,000.
Front Ringfeder gets a new pin and drawbar bush every 200,000.Only 3mm wear
allowed.
The deal here is,use genuineparts.Cost twice as much as "willfit", last four to five times longer.Been there, done that!
