Folks
Ah, the memories.
Southern Cross if that memory is correct.
My recently late father was never given to exaggeration.
But-He told tales though of grabbing the wheel and going for a few turns.
HTF did he get off though?
May have been just to shame me into getting some spine, as in later years he couldn't climb, and I sure didn't like going up that tower, whether in my youth or in later years.
Cheers

If the ridge on the tips are stepped then a punch and flange air operated tool will work.
About $90 online.

Here’s a ten foot wheel thirty foot tower I put up for a bloke at Montville up on the hills behind the Sunshine Coast didn’t really want the job but he wanted it done and was prepared to pay!!so I loaded up and had a few days overlooking the beach
Don’t know what my gross weight was (Ute with all the gear and six lengths of 1.5”pipe and 1/2” rods) hits the scales at 3.1 tonne without the trailer l can admit to that now I’ve stopped doing it

Working on more play time.
My Dad was a sheet metal worker and he had a swage at home for putting those stiffening lines in the blade. Unfortunately without asking he dumped them (guillotine, swager, 3' hand rollers etc) off at a place at Northmead in Sydney before moving north. I would love to have that gear now but that is the way it goes.
