You're a lucky man John, an impreesive line-up.
We had a model N in the 50's till 64 which I drove as a 16 year old. I will never forget driving it up a hill while travelling along a road in too higher gear and the motor lugging down until it reversed rotation and then went backwards and down the hill. I managed to get it going the proper way by shutting off the fuel supply at the pump, then priming rapidly with the hand lever as the motor almost stopped. I didn't tell my Father about that for a few years as he had told me to change to a lower gear before going up the hill , but at 16 I knew better.
Cheers Geoff

Dad tells the story of driving a bully to the Brisbane Exhibition grounds.
Idling in neutral at an intersection waiting for the traffic cop to give him the go and he doesn't hear a tram has pulled up close behind him.
Cop turns and gives dad the signal.
Dad panics, eventually crunches the tractor into gear and quickly out with the clutch.
Bulldog did one big leap foreward, the tram followed.
Next the Bulldog did a huge boot back, smashing the drawbar into the tram and then off she went across the intersection with a cloud of smoke.
The story is always better told with actions though.

Yes geffo i have had that happen to me without the tram you have to keep the revs above 350 the real old bulldogs had no reverse you would drop the revs right down and they run backwards then drop the revs again to go fawards john

A nice line up there.
Looks like a model "H" way down the end?
I've still got the special bent injector spanner for her.
Never saw those green J.D. models.
McCrackens did a field day with a 60hp one on our farm back in the 60's.
We didn't have enough implements to pull her up.

Kelly and Lewis had their offices in Hope Street, South Brisy. and another time dad was driving a stored Bulldog from the back yard to the show room.
She'd been sitting in the weather for a while and no-one thought to check the handbrake button which had seized solid.
Dad drove her through the glass show room windows.
As a kid I'd ride in the old Humber Super Snipe while dad towed Bulldogs all over the place with his solid drawbar.
Couldn't do stuff like that these days.
Those big old tyres weren't too balanced once the speed got up.

Couple of "green" Bulldogs here

Maybe the green paint meant they were environmentally friendly

I'm not sure that they would comply with Euro 5 Pete.
