gday blokes
i have just scavenged 2100 amp hours worth of deep cycle cells at 24 volts.
i will use this to build a better solar system for the house.
but i don't have any panels for it yet,and so i must charge em up from a engine in the meantime.
i have a 24v 140 amp alternator off a k19 cummins,and a ronaldson tippet cf diesel 5hp at 800 rpm.
the ronnie output shaft is 2 and a quarter inches in dia.
to get the revs right on alternator ,i need about an 8 inch double a section on the ronnie.
trouble is,nobody in town can supply anything like it.
cause there's not enough meat on the boss to machine it out.
does anybody have any old pullys laying around that would fit.
thanks sparks.

Sparks,
I'd get someone to machine up an adapter. To fit over the 21/4" shaft reducing down to an 1" or 1 1/4" shaft!!!

Just My 2 cents worth

thats the go 'Seed..
or
Hunt round the wreckers, a crankshaft pulley would be the go..
Even if you have a boss machined to 21/4 id with a flat face to bolt the pulley to..like a lot of engines have..
Set of pulleys of a 351 cleveland are about 8" with a 4 bolt flange, depends whether you need a or b section belts... A horton fan hub might also do..
i have a set here off a cummins that are about 2 5/16 x 7
Can the hub on the Ronnie be tapped to take a 4 bolt pulley?
theres a few ways to skin a cat...

chocs 8-)
