G'day all,
A good friend invited us to drive a couple of his tractors in their annual tractor trek recently.
Langhorne Creek is a significant wine area, has turf farms, potatoes, onions, dryland grain and grazing, Newmans horseradish and some orchards. It is on the floodplain of the Bremer and Angas Rivers and nearby to Lake Alexandrina at the bottom end of the River Murray.
The day was cool but still great fun. Here's some photo's.
We camped the Friday night in ol' mates shed, who has a bit of a passion for Case tractors.
The line-up before setting off.
Through many vinyards and along their tracks.
Along back roads.
Through some creek crossings.
Around centre pivot irrigators.
Morning smoko was hot scones with jam and cream,. then BBQ lunch.
Back to where we started for tea and a few ales.
They provided for "tourists" with padded seats.
If you misbehaved then you ended up in this one.
Or you may be lucky enough to go first class.
The following pic's are a few things I saw on the way.
