Just It looks a bit like the old drag line in the park at colleambaly(n.s.w) that dug all the irrigation channels.

They had one of the heads of it, The cylinder is as big as 44 gallon drum.
I'd guess the OHS nazis have stopped you from climbing over the old thing now. But the motor was huge!!!
