The original John Dring company had an agreement with Colliers in the early 50s which later became Collier-Dring when Colliers took them over.... This was then part of the Walter Shapowloff takeover moves which went on to become Kwikasair.... Sometime in the 60s John Dring was reformed as a cartage contractor for the wharves (if my memory serves correctly)... That would be this comany

Hi Gryphon, I'm familiar with John Dring, I grew up around the corner from their Thebarton Depot here in Adelaide.
The guy on the right in both photos is the manager Paul Eckhold, who I played footy with & he ended up being a family relation.
My plan with my Bedford K was to put it into the livery of John Dring but haven't got there yet.
Dring's carted sugar from the wharf & the Colonial Sugar Refinery here in Adelaide & delivered to Coca-Cola Bottlers on Port Road. I think they delivered something like 40Ton per day to Coke!
Attached is an article published on the forum some time time ago.
cheers Pierre
