Howdy all.
I have a question.
The 47 - 53 chev trucks assembled here in Aus with the GMH tag on the firewall....Did holdens assemble the cabs sent here in knock down form from the US or Canada or did they press the panels / parts here ??
Also I have front tin work, grill etc for a 50 chev truck for free if anyone can use it. In pretty good nick.
Here is a link to one of several companies that do chev / GMC parts in the US.
If you have a look at the site there isnt much you cant get for them new.

From a GMH book i have, 1953 Chev trucks had a common cab with D model Bedfords, Made in Aus & mounted onto imported chassis & running gear. No sure about front end panels, I only have photos of '30's & 40' trucks on the wharfs. These trucks have front guards, radiator/grille & running gear. Not long after '54, Chev trucks were fully imported & bedfords came in knocked down form.
