1958 AS 130 Inter Resto

Jus finished playin around tonight sat the ol tray back on to see how much to shorten it up , where I have put the plastic sheet up is about it gives 7' tray , thaught about strechin it out to take an 18' banana back to put my As112 pickup on would have to put 3m in the chassis jus dummied it up to see where it would come to might look a bit rare ??? would be lost with out my 4 ton hoist and my little fork I don't have to rely on outside help will do some more over the weekend but might go to Alexandra for a look too c ya Peter.

My two cents worth is:
Keep it down on the chassis like you have done which puts in perspective with the roof line of the cab and the bottom of the tanks and now for the hard bit....you have to move the windows in line with the cab glass and it will look mint.
Once you have done this, the hoist has to be disassembled and put on the tray so you can drive it over to my place a few thousand km away

Got to agree those windows have to be raised and now seeing that back looking shot I don't mind how low it sits.

I've also got a hoist and fork and boy does it really help when you are one out.

Don't extend it you will never get it around a roundabout.

Thanks guys for your input you are both right sat on a milk crate and had a good stare :-X at it tonight , I will lift the windows up to the cab window level and the piece I cut out above I will use to fill in underneath and Trev I will jus shorten the tray up to 7' and put a hurdle on the front , and the hoist Graham I will leave it to ya in me will when I am about 150 LOL C ya Peter.

That's why it never feels like you accomplish anything because of all that thinking time. Lol

While you have the jigsaw out....
Consider a side door or two.
Easier access etc, particularly as it's low to the ground.
Throw the fridge in one side..
Good flow through etc..

She's coming along well all the same, thanks for sharing the progress.

Ya, down low.
Lines up top and bottom.
Looks purposeful and balanced.

Up high is a bit pretentious, "little truck trying to look like big truck".

After a great day over at Alexandra yesterday I did a bit more on the AS today , measured once , twice and third time lucky carved tha tray up with tha 9" slicer sat it on , put the outside wheel on and guards to centre the wheel before welding the front of the tray back on pretty happy with tha way it looks , sat a bit of 90mm pipe between tha cab and box didn't look to bad will help blend it in a bit more have 2 x 5"x5' chromies comin C ya Peter
