Hey Cam, that trailer of mine just doesn't like running empty. the G88 runs but cab has bad rust. However I got onto a not bad F88 sleeper cab & chassis. The plan is to marry the best of the two to be my main highway truck and the F86 to be sold once it is proven reliable. I believe only 50 F88's were imported into Australia - does anyone have any more info on this?

The F 86 and F 88 where the first Volvo`s imported here.I could be wrong,but I thought when Volvo took over the Leyland factory in Briso and started to put them together here they went to the G88 because of the bridge formula.I`ve got some old Truck and Bus with articles on the opening of the Ovlov (that`s a Volvo going backwards) factory,if I get a chance I`ll scan them and post them.Have you thought of keeping the F 86 and finding a steel grill for it?,make it look like it came out of ther 60`s.I`ve been told by a Volvo truck salesman that Volvo means "I Roll",I asked him if Ovlov means "I Roll" bacwards",and then another joke involving your hand down your pants that I`m sure the the censor will kill.
