Yeah this is on the limits to select the outer gears.
Could have left the actual stick a little fatter which would have helped.

Interested in that 6BD?? Cummins install.
Know a bloke fitting one into a Patrol at present, think his stock gearbox/diff are up for some damage.

Think the Cummins into Patrol has been done before. Must be a tight fit.
Think he will be safer with the 6 than the 4, power pulse in the 4 tend to wreck things.
There is a good site with all this sort of info, not sure of the etiquette of posting that on this forum.

Can I ask why you went with the RR Blackduck? Surely there would have been a better, syncro option for a small truck like an F350? I have an F350 myself but apart from the previous owner having fitted an RR knob before I bought it I wouldn't have thought of the RRas an option.

600D, got 2 for a very good price and wanted the gearing. Had already scored a Spicer joey and looked at using the Ford 4 speed.
Cummins came with an Allison AT 545 but no lock up clutch so not to keen on that.
Setting this up as a tow unit for a 5th wheeler. May look at a later Allison down the track a bit.

What is going on here?

For starters, it's chopped, so they've lost me. I'm guessing you turn the gear knob and it goes down to some generic auto. That would hook up to a Torqueflite nicely.
