I don't think the bloke with the big stick should be made fun of. Although I am not big on the wheel knob, he has probably done the engine and gearbox conversion himself and created his own machine. I don't know whether he drives trucks or not (he handles, the admittedly easy, Road Ranger box well). These days 75% of real truck drivers have never owned a truck let alone done any major work on them. Just my opinion, but credit where credit is due.
Here is a tall stick with sound effects in a "real" truck.

Don't know I would want to be on the road with him, watching the mirrors more than the road in front.

Blackduck
Looks like he might be in the suburbs surrounded by cars so mirror gazing might be justified?
lang
* On a second look it appears he is continuously being passed by cars on a double lane road and is certainly jostling with traffic. The camera angle also seems to make him appear to be gazing sideways.

I worry more about drivers that don't take there hand off there knob! I have seen a truck in Melbourne with a gear lever near the roof. Maybe that's a selfie cam from a grey Mack, but the tee shirt is not Bach to front! Lol

Here is another 68 Dodge Power Wagon, same as the bloke above, with a Cummins but different gearbox set-up.

These stupid high gearshift levers appear to be a throwback to those ape hanger handlebars you see on those moronic HD's etc. FFS !!
