Thornycroft Nubian 6 x 6 Fire Tender

Can anyone help me?? I am seeking assistance in the valuation of a historic commercial fire tender vehicle. It is a Thornycroft Nubian 6x6 (+ / -) 1955. It is fitted with an in-line 8 cylinder B81 Rolls Royce petrol engine. The vehicle is in sound running order, complete with siren and flashing light. The body is riveted alloy and is therefore rust free.

I would be grateful for any idea of its value or contact details of anyone who may be able to help me further.

Many thanks,

Rod

One of these was advertised on eBay recently. It was running and driveable. Situated in Northern Tasmania. Seller offerred to drive it to the ferry. Starting price was $25,000.00 but it did not get a bid.

I have one I would sell. Not running, parts missing but all supplied on second factory cabbed Nubian. I would sell the lot for $2000.00.

Morris.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
