Hello Iam looking for some info on dodge five speed gearbox's I have a 1960 dodge truck with a 318 in it with a 4 speed gearbox out of a
AT 4 . I have found myself a turner 5 speed overdrive that was on a perkins diesel in a D5N dodge. I know the Bedfords came out with this gearboxes & needed a spacer plate. Any hints would be nice

Hello,
Try giving Dellow Automotive a call on 02 9774 4419. They have adapted 318's to all sorts of gearbox's over the years. The turner flywheel housing pattern will be SAE 3 if it came of a perkins. Get yourself a cuppa and a crumpet and sit and have a study of the clutch housing on the AT 4 box, the turner may mate up to your original clutch housing. We did this with a 6 speed O/D "commer" box to a 318 many moons ago using the chrysler clutch housing.
