My truck is having some panel work done at the moment (thanks Podge and others) so as the Grill, Guards and roof need repainting it makes sense to repaint the rest at the same time.
The current plan is
- mainly the same color red as the base
- white roof above the crease line in the pillars leaving the door gutters red
- a white line along/above the crease line that starts 1/2 way down the bonnet and continues along the doors
- a similar line along the crease line in the guards.
If someone is good at photoshop and has the time could they please modify the picture below so I can show Mrs P what it looks like.

I have some other ideas I want to keep to myself at present (there has to be some surprise in the finished product) but if someone else has ideas then feel welcome.
The though of Black with a flame job did cross my mind but has been left aside (for now )

Well.. I'm not a great fan of two tone paint jobs on these 50's style trucks.. I think one colour would look better.

I would go for a color sceam that was of its day, a company of the day that may or may have had an intesting color sceam, you do have a historic truck it would be befitting to have a color that was of the trucks period. like mine, it will become boring a caltex cream and white but how many boring cream and white truck do you see?

I'm with Monty on this one. Is there a brewery in Melb that used these?

Actually the colour scheme is based on a scheme on an R180 Inter diven by a Club Member in his working days.
I have simplified it a bit and reduced the number of colours to suit the slightly smaller vehicle. It will have nowhere near the numbers of lines that Swishy put on it (but thanks for the idea swish) and the simple lining will be in white, not the blue in the original design to tie it together.
