twaz B 4 trailer rego came in
bout 30 years ago U never registered trailers
n meerly put the number plate off the primover on rear of trailer
orll legal n above board
we had our plates on wing nuts as we were always swapp n trailers

Now trailer rego iz for each n every axle add bout $400
tri axle = $1200.oo

We got about 250 odd trailers so yep we pay a lot of rego.
Reckon we'd be waaay better off under that old system.
Between trucks trailers etc we got huge rego bills every bloody day of the year on average..
Good money if you can get it.. Oh yeah...Various Govt departments DO get it....

g'day mastiff, rob, swishy and all the cover picture on ed camerons book has this very truck in the lovely battleship grey.

hubcaps on the steer give it away ...and the photo was taken mid 1968 after the rebuild of camerons green one, which had an accident near springhurst (vic) which is at the end of the line of three in the pic.

had a look on google and I saw the truck on the book.
u can always tell which truck it is by its hubcaps. Todd still has those caps, needs some dints out of them.

the last three ansett S models (out of fifteen ordered) had the hubcaps and a couple? of these had the centre mount horn.
