g'day greenie whew!...lets make a start for you.

the two coming off the boat were in amongst a mixed lot, that arrived after the first seven (which were bogie drive) had landed in sydney and were driven down to melbourne. those two in swishy's pics, being single drive, may have had a bearing on them hitting the deck together (one with the pusher already). i'm pretty sure all S models came in fully built up bidstbc

the front hubcaps were original to around a dozen of the forty that came in and the exclusions were these..... twelve had 5 spoke dayton hubs, one had gunite (rockwell?) 5 spoke, four had heavy duty gunite 6 spoke and the ten ansett trucks with normal 6 spoke.

the early bogie and single drives both used the dayton 5 spoke hubs on the steer and even though the normal 6 spoke gunite hub had a slightly higher rating, they were still mounted to an FE900 5 ton front axle

hope all that helps....cheers

I know of one slimline AFE kenny that got to Adelaide a bit late on a hook........ after it decided I needed a hurry up at Stirling. Pity the boss wouldn't let them have CB's in them days...... I was yelling in the mike "WAKE UP!!!"
