Thanks Melonreo,
The picture makes it look worse than it acually is, there are a lot of parts missing though. Most parts that are missing are not too bad to make from scratch.
One of the hardest bits is going to be the radiator, i have the remains of the bottom tank and the sides, but the top tank and the core have dissapeared.
The original engine is a bit of a mess, with lots of bits missing but i have a later Vulcan engine which is in better condition and may have some usefull parts.

The crank case and head are more or less the same, but i may have to make a new block, as its got bigger bores and a different manifold set up.
This is the radiator that i'm looking for, just in case somebody has one in a shed somewhere
Its from the only other VSW that i know of, so its not for sale unfortunately.

Thanks Jason,
It's getting there slowly bit by bit, the problem is work keeps taking up valuable truck time.

Hi Rob
Work has a way of interferring with the fun stuff. I am sure that we will see the jigger at Sandown in a year or two. It is interesting that we can see the finished article in that pile of "stuff", maybe that is why the better half sometimes thinks we are a tad touched : keep the updates coming. There was a chassis & radiator in Ganmain a couple of years ago I will ask around.

Hi Graham,
Not many people can see a truck in a pile of mangled rusty stuff, let alone get excited about it. Maybe we are a bit touched!
That would be great if you could ask around.
This is the chassis when i picked it up, doesn't look too bad but both front and rear crossmembers had rotted away and both side rails were bent all over the place and cracked in a few places.

This was after a lot of straightening, welding and fabricating and just put together to get the hole centres on the new crossmembers, but starting to look like something!
