J Bran, Like your project, Just looking at the pic of your motor and gearbox. Your engine is almost the same as my Commer which is a 1951 QX R7 with the under floor motor. Just finished a full reco on my engine and an almost ready to refit it again. I will post some pics when i work out how and it will give you an idea as to what i have done with mine.
