it looks like the body is ok ..and as a bonus i doubt if the perkins has added much wear or stress to the driveline

I dont think it would be all that expensive to get it back to Perth and even to the East Coast as all these destinations would be at backload rates.
Most trucks would be returning from Laverton, Leinster and points north east empty.
I once worked for a Brisbane based Company called Peabody that lost the underground contract at Darlot Gold Mine and there was almost a traffic jam in the load up area once the word got out that there were loads available to Brisbane.

Seen this truck a few years ago with a drill rig on the back. very smokey and rather slow, if it has the same engine I would say its in need of a complete rebuild.
