There was a 1939 oldsmobile ute for sale at Bendigo swap meet about 20 years ago , very complete and $1500 and very rare. If I remember it had a flathead Pontiac 6 engine and the GMH body , never seen another one like it.

If the '39 Old's ute at Bendigo Swap had the original engine in it, it would of been a 6 cyl side valve Oldsmobile motor.

Dodge AT4-7D Series Model 775, 1971 VH Valiant Ute,

Axle had been changed to a '57 Chev and leaf springs at that time as I was not happy with the original rubber mountings that allowed the axle to twist under load - despite my best efforts to prevent it. Also I was concerned that spares were almost non existent and I might get caught in the middle of nowhere with a broken axle or diff!
Changed from 15 x 7 Buick rims to similar size Hotwires, fronts were 7" Buick also, bolted to Humber disc brakes - better than 1G under brakes B)
Although I lost the coil sprung rear end it did give me a better axle ratio for touring - but I was never really happy with it and later lifted the body and mounted it onto a heavily modified '63 Pontiac chassis. (another story, but I won't go into it here).
