You often see these things for sale on a rusty V8 ACCO for around $4-5K .......which is less than the tree loppers charge to stabilize a single dead tree .....you arent allowed to cut down dead trees here ,only to have the likes of TreeScape stabilize them.

I'm gritting my teeth,

It won't fit in m shed but if it would, I might buy it and cut down Gryphon's dead gum tree. I need the firewood.
I don't know the regulations here but I remember that when the huge steam dragline was transported from Morwell Open Cut Mine to the steam and machinery museum in Melbourne, a small tree was stopping them make a turn out of the mine site. The tree experts "stabilized" it down to nine inched above the ground.
