When Mother Nature sends you a parcel you should open it up completetly and unwrap the whole lot.
Not toss part of it out for us poor buggers down the track to have to unwrap the rest.
Yasi dumps rain all over Alice Springs & Victoria.

Yes, Victoria is at present wearing the tail end of Cyclone Anthony, which was the one that came in a week or so before Yasi and clobbered Bowen.
Welcome to cyclone season, Victoria!

I heard that Victoria's weather is coming from left overs from Anthony.
Certainly Yasi is in Alice at the moment!
Bigcam I got a very small feel for what you guys have been through recently. Last night we had over 150mm of rain in about 2-3hrs! This morning nearly every road out of my estate where cut. Lucky everything is ok here at home.
Some of the houses in the area near the storm drains have lost fencing. And I even did see couple of houses which would have had water going in.
Definately small in comparison to what happened in QLD. But certainly very hard time for lots of people up and down the east coast! Hasn't had much air time lately but Swan Hill and area's still suffering from the previous floods! The flood waters still high!
