These sure are pretty trucks. International took some pride and effort to make a nicely styled cab instead of the galvanised iron dunny on Kenworths. Can't understand why they are not prized for show trucks by other than a small group of enthusiasts.

Lang, because the cab is aluminium, they mostly flew to bits on the Australian roads. Very nice looking truck though.

Greenie,
I have owned a Kenworth with a day cab (which I must say was rattley and full of cracks - a tank could not survive that ride intact - but still soldiering on) but only as a club/show truck. For that purpose, if someone had come up for a swap with this style of Inter, I would have jumped at it.
I defer to both your and Cam's comments on their short rough road life in working service.

g'day MrBferret .. next time the amusement/show people are in the area, take her down and show them....they have become quite avid lovers of a lot of the old classic American gear, and you may find that they, or someone they may know could give you the dollars you're after.....cheers

Hi Clarkie. I'm still trying to get a look at it. Xmas hasn't been the best time. When I can MrFerret can't and when I can't MrFerret can. Still hopeful, maybe this w/e.

Does anyone know if the headlight trim on MrBferrets Transtar is the same as 1979 Transtar 4200 .My 4200 is missing one trim and I'm having trouble replacing it...any help would be appreciated ...Thanks
