U got it
So go treet u're self to a chilled refresher from your very own beer fridge
LOL
Like many a startup company Westfall came up short on money to make their product a success and ultimately sold out to Paccar (formerly known as Pacific Car and Foundry) and better known for their Carco winches and Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks. Here, however, straight in from a collector in New Zealand is a photo of a nicely restored Kenworth log skidder, which so far as I can determine is a Westfall Performer sold under the Kenworth name. I have been told that Westfall got in a financial squeeze and sold out to Kenworth who shut the company down fairly quickly.
What is less than clear to this writer is how many or for how long Kenworth sold these machines. Paccar was also noted for their winches and through the Dart division also for a line of log stackers which were sold in competition with Wagner stackers and LeTourneau stackers.
Industry scuttlebutt is that Kenworth had a particular advantage in the heavy equipment market because their foundry had the capability of making the giant axle housings necessary for these monster machines. Apparently at this time your local Walmart didn't stock giant axle housings.
