You're probably right mate.
I didn't think the one on the back of the Trailer had those extra FB hub reduction Diffs. like the other Pic.
But after" cleaning My 'puter screen, putting on my glasses & blowing the pic up to about 500%..
I can now see them.. :-[

...there's not much jumping out at me saying they're not one and the same rig in those consecutive pics ...possibly just a few additions and in a different timeframe ??

Some more yanky trucks to look at. Just back from 4 weeks in the states. Managed to convince the missus to make a 6hr diversion in our proposed route so I could pick up a little country town antique machinery and truck show in Pennsylvania.

Oh Oh, I spotted something I'm on the hunt for.
Sam here, I prowl around here and occasionally post.
In reply 242 from swishy, 1/3 down page 13 is a red 1948 Autocar. Neat truck.
But what caught my eye is the tow hooks on the front bumper.
They appear to be identical to the ones I need for my Kenworth 573 rebuild.
They are a standard size yank WW2 military large truck hook, but have the casting extended forward under the hook, for strength I guess.
This is the first time I have seen them on another truck. Anyone know where I might get a set?
I bought a set on ebay years ago, but lost them importing from USA. Never saw another set.
Yeah, I know, pretty scarce, but I have to ask.
Sam.
