yes you guys are correct, I wasn't expecting to get such a good engine for this money, so yes, I won't be putting a larger engine in anytime soon.

one of the main reasons for doing a engine transplant is for my business, making turbocharger manifolds, and selling turbochargers, and kits for V8 ford engines. A turbo bigblock in an old truck like this will draw heaps of attention from people at car events.

Doing the actual conversion will cost me nothing but parts, I've already costed it out, and 4000$ would do it, ignition, fuel, engine, trans, and turbo system, could be done cheaper, but I'd rather use a brand name turbo.

I'll see how it goes, I can't stand slow vehicles.

Went down just recently and got it running, took a while to get going the first time but once it was warm, it idled smooth and runs healthy.

Had an even closer look over the cab, not one single spot of rust, everything on the truck works, except the brakes.

Should be coming home tomorrow, in the end it cost 400$ to truck it up here.
