G'day to all you Aussies

I came across this photo a few days ago, taken in 1940 or thereabouts.

There is an Australian connection as the company J.J. Craig Ltd also owned sailing ships for the Trans-Tasman trade, one of which, the "JAMES CRAIG" is still alive and well in Sydney Harbour.

Great photo Vic, I reckon some of those are post war models arent they.

Pete, I have had another look at the photo, it is dated 1940. I don't think there are any trucks there later than that, those D-model Inters were available in 1940 as were the Ford V8s, and all the others are earlier than that I think. Just remember I was alive then!

After the war their fleet changed from mainly Internationals to Jailbar Ford V8s, then to Commers. A continuing downward spiral, maybe????? ;)

Yes i know its a bit backwards, but if you copy and paste the above in the web address bit it takes you to a flicker site, on the right is a link to old trucks by Airflyte 49, if it dosent take away your breath, your on the wrong forum here.

Scratcha, thanks for the link , it's sad to see how restorable some of those trucks are , and they're just sitting there , rusting away.
I hope they end up going to a good home.
