Hi All .. we all have an iconic Aussie truck that we remember as being the best thing we could've laid our hands on.....either as a youngster, or a young operator....

.....Simon Kerswell's Kenny did it for me back in the day..... who else would like to offer up their most favourite, iconic Banger...from way back then....or even now.... 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

John and Tracey Rehe's Desperado would have to be right up there for me,

Seeing "Desperado" in the mirror then as it sailed past you was a blast.

For me it was growing up in england with their matt black plastic ugly cab over euro trucks and coming here on holidays and oggling at the K Whappers and macks. They'd be the first things I'd be looking for driving out from sydney airport.

Even now I still love seeing a nice bonneted semi with a good bit of chrome, just so long as it's not one of these new "aerodynamic" ones ;)

EDIT - in the time it took to write this post (lost internet) Swishy you put up the exact picture I was trying to get across. European trucks are not real trucks, or at least not any more

...I remember Charlie Kovaks with the big black LTL 9OOO out at the very first truck races at Calder in 1988....He was chuckin' the big thing around and making a meal out of a lot of the other rigs and starters !!....
