Swish You are correct!! The picture Grandad labeled as a B-70 has a diesel stack and long hood.. Probably just a typo error on his part.

Grandad

I am interested in that MR Mack delivery van.

I found the photo for sale but can not find anything about the vehicle. The designation MR applies to much later and larger trucks from my searches.

Possibly built on the REO based "Mack Junior" pickup and the body made by one of the many independent builders? Wheels and hubcaps certainly look the part but International trucks also had almost identical wheels and hubcap shape in heavier types. Their Metro vans had disc wheels.

Any more info?

You just have to keep looking. All Macks (the car is a rebadged REO)

Just read that ad carefully. You would be seriously fined for advertising like that now.

Big price fanfare but read the small print. All you get is a rolling chassis. "You want a cab? You want a body? You want to pick it up where you live? Taxes?? that is something between you and the government."

before the jap invasion,if you bought an Inter ,Dodge or Ford, you got a spare rim,no tyre fitted......after the japs came, they woke up ,but it was too late, except for Ford.
