Truck Show at "Boof" Wedding's Yard

LoadStars were popular here, Cam, especially as concrete agitator trucks with petrol V8 engines. That's all the photos of the show really, but as you can see there was a lot of good stuff there. I can put on a few of "Boof's" scrapyard if you like

A couple of the scrap yard would be great Vic.I know this sounds a bit odd,but it`s a bit of a hobby of mine to walk around wrecking yards.I had a mental health day a couple of weeks ago and went out to Prices at Dalby (I also had to look at a truck for one of my customers based in Dalby).I dropped into see another bloke who is doing up an S2 KW I sold him nearly 2 years ago,it`s looking great.And then I dropped into another yard at the bottom of the Toowoomba range.It was a great day.

Well here you go, Cam. This isn't a wrecking yard but just where Boof parks his old trucks when they won't go any longer.

Thanks Vic,the rust has really got into them.Is it the working environment?Some of the early Isuzu`s that came here,it was the standard joke,they must have come out as deck cargo on a submarine.I`ve got a JCR Isuzu yard truck that every time you close the door you get showered in rust.

Don't really know, Cam, but Boof's yard is pretty close to the sea

What is the UD Nissan Diesel with the PULLER number plates??? I know it has one of those fangled UD 2 stroke diesels in it!

Joe, it is a 1971 Nissan Jumbo, and yes the engine is a Nissan/UD 7.4 litre 2-stroke 6-cylinder diesel. The bonnetted Leader cab was based on that cab.

I knew when I saw Hiroshima Screamer on the bonnet that it had the two stroke UD motor in it!

Was gonna check the Leader cabs and realised the bloody book I want is on the other bloody side of the bed! Fecking hell, what else can go wrong!???

One of my rellies has a UD4 2 stroke industrial engine out the back of his place.... got some photos of it! Gotta convince him that it won't fit into a F-Truck and he'd be better off with a Detroit! have a look on you tube -there is a bloke on there in the you ssss of Aaaaa and he has 1 sitting in a trailer, and he give it the goods , revs pretty hard -- id say it dosen,t have to much flywheel weight
