I have picked up a 58,000lb Mack diff centre and the axles are larger! I wonder if anyone has information on fitting one to 44,000lb housing? Regards Andrew

....................................I don't know much about Macks........But
I would think you would have to be pretty lucky for a 58 centre to fit in a 44 housing..........
Or bits there off........................
but stranger things have happened I suppose........................

In the old double reduction diffs there were basically three sizes, the CRD95/96 which was a ginormous, offroad type, the CRD92/93 which had 2.24"sidegear splines, and the higher capacity, but same gears and housing CRD112/113 with 2.42"sidegear splines. The capacity figures were generally dreamed up by wreckers selling bits.Regards John.
