New member with a Unimog problem

This style of Unimog is called a Traction Head and can be determined via the use of a "T" after the model designation, eg U1700T would be a U1700 Traction Head. They were often used as tow trucks in Germany.

I was building roads in Shitme when De Martin n Gasperini were running around the place, I remember them well.

I'm in the Mercedes Benz Club of QLD and there is a member in it who has a U411 which is very similar to yours, however his is a slightly longer wheelbase. His Unimog also has a space between the Seat backrest and the head board of the tray - this is where the spare tyre used to go.

Here's a couple of photos of his truck from the MB Club of QLD Concourse September 2018, its currently undergoing restoration, he's done most of the cosmetics, just needs to work on the wiring and give the engine a tune.
