Real nice dozers and excavators sell for peanuts there .....cheapest option is to move down there ,or used to be. ,Seems Tassie real estate is dearer than Melbourne now.

Well... Unfortunately there aren't many options... Especially at the moment with Toll... They can't even service the regular freight companies atm due to the hacking... Searoad are near full capacity and TT line is the dearest...
We get the raw end of the deal here the moment anything goes wrong with one of the ferries.... And then there's the tourist season when almost everything is booked out

The Spirit charges by the meter length.
We took a nine meter bus across and back. Cost about $2100 with a $900 govt rebate. ($1200 return). inc four passengers and a cabin.

I was not aware they charged by the meter
Might be cheaper to use a large tray truck for the job than a semi
