g'day to all...i've always wondered about alltrans and tnt's tie up and one thing is for sure. a few of us have the kenworth chassis listings of the so called ''seattle'' build kw's and nothing of note comes up as being ordered for or owned by tnt. a couple of jobs on the list end up being privately owned (subbies), financed by tnt, and used in whatever division they operated in but nowhere near the preponderance towards what alltrans owned. in fact on the list (which is in the 100'000 chassis range) only four show up, being one s925 with 6v71, one k121 with 6 inline gm and two k100 series sleeper cabovers...all known to have private ownership at the time (peter j chase had the s model and k 121 in with tnt refridgerated in the mid to late '60's). i'm almost sure this applied to the 400'000 series kw chassis numbers as well . it tells me volumes as to who had the real say about purchasing of equipment and alltrans had their name (albeit painted in tnt or kwikasair or whatever) noted on these lists when it came to fleet upgrades or replacement etc.
