Thanks to you all for the input. Seals . I will wait until the truck gets back on the road and see how it runs.
Diff. I have bought 8.25tyres to replace the 7.50. Again i will wait and see how it drives. 6.37 seems pretty low so am hoping to pick
up some speed with the new tyres. Can anyone confirm if the diff centres are the same , including axle splines?

Where is the 6/37 ratio from?..........the pinion you picture is clearly marked 10/43..........incidentally ,a 6/37 centre would be from a 1600 4x4 ,front diff. in the banjo axle.

I think the 6/37 tooth count is what is currently in Inter-Action's AB151, which is actually 6.166:1 ratio. I think perhaps there was some confusion here between tooth count and ratio.
The 10/43 pinion in the photo is a diff centre he has out of a C1500, and is wondering if he can use it in the AB151 housing?

If so,the answer is yes ....it will fit any C1300 or 1500....axle splines are the same ..........in fact the 1500 axles are somewhat undersized for a 4 ton truck, and easily broken with a big load

Thanks to all the replies. The 6.73 is stamped on the end of the pinion shaft of my AB151. The 10-43 is stamped in the same place
on my C1500. Sorry for any confusion. If the 151 turns out to be 2 slow (10-43), i would like to try the C1500 diff . Given that i have fitted 8.25 in place of 7.50, am i looking at a better road speed / fuel economy , or dreaming that there will be bugger all gained
for the work needed to do the change over. I have a long way to go before putting the truck on the road, just doing all i can w/out
the tray getting in the way. The C1500 will be sold once i remove the diff and door mechanisms. Body is stuffed and motor is seized. Not worth a lot.

It might be like a Ford Mercury .....the Fords will easily cruise at 70 mph,but hit a small up grade or a headwind, and the motor dies quickly and you need to drop to 3 rd gear...........whats needed is a quad box ,with three ratios between every gear in the mainbox..........incidentally the Mercury and the Gold Diamond are both the same size ..4 l...................By the way, never over rev an Inter 6.....it will drop a valve, for sure.
