The man we bought our dragline from had done an interesting job at Shark Bay, shallow water had dug a channel out putting the spoil ahead for a roadway, on return picking that up and dispersing it further away. 
We found on the level it would dig but in a hole it needed loose material for when hauling the bucket nose would lift.

It’s a Kockums KL225 with a [wait for it!][ GM 3/71 motor and HARMAN cast in the counter weight.

Don't think me ever carted a Kockum 225 but many Kockum 250  @ 33ton
