rusty, good early Leyland ad there, especially an Aussie ad,i see you had to pay extra back then just to get some free air(for your tyres).a yank freind of mine from an Aus American car club back in the early 80s said he was amazed at what Aust got ie rare cars considering our relative remoteness from the rest of the world especially in early times,i think the same probably applies to trucks etc many of which were scrapped years ago,we are not very historically minded as a nation vehicle wise but as individuals its a different story(some one will probably take me to task over that comment)

For those that like old truck pamphlets, here's a repository of them, nearly 250 of them for you to enjoy.

Seeing it is the last day of the year this the last post I have on this subject, I have been trying to post what is not that common and from Queensland agents
My interest in trucks goes way back when I started my apprenticeship in 1963 at the AIS Port Kembla and got into trouble from the workshop foreman for spending too much time outside the workshop watching trucks go by, do I wish I had a digital camera back them
Does anybody know what trucks were used in the Newcastle and Port Kembla steel works in the early 1960s as there were lots and big ones also, if you do know start a new thread
Then also there was all the trucks bringing coal to the steel works
I never got much into trucks until 1969 when in the Army and licensed the army way (every vehicle hade it own licence and you were tested in each vehicle) at that time all
