...Barry Oliver in his line of business at a certain time dictated short wheelbase single drive prime movers...she may have been chopped up a little in that period when owned by him ?

A shame Gardener never bolted a hair dryer to the side of their engines ... I wonder if any had some retrofitted ~just a thought~

It was converted to a single drive in 1975 when we purchased a new one fitted with a 350 Cummins. The Gardner just didn't have enough grunt to pull a 3 deck stock crate. I don't know what happened to this one as we traded it on an F12 in about '84.

Thanks to Werkhorse I have made contact with the current owner who said he inherited the vehicle with the business. He did sell the engine to a boat owner who had it reconditioned and has it as a spare. He has agreed to send me some photos so that I can see the current condition (he thinks the rest is till there).
